Maranatha In Proverbs

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

PROVERBS

Trust in the Lord | Confession
  • We are going to confess our sins of trusting in ourselves and handling matters in our own way.
  • For every time I have been wise in my own eyes.
  • For every situation that I have trusted in my own arm, my own wisdom, my own understanding.
  • For every time when I have relied on Mr Flesh, that I have depended on the old man's way of handling issues, that I have not turned to the new man.
  • Lord, please forgive me and have mercy upon me.
  • Confess real examples that the Lord brings into your mind.

Trust in the Lord | Hand Over
  • We will hand over every situation to Him now, as we pray.
  • Every pressing issue, those areas He has raised as we confessed, let us deliberately hand them over to Him now.
  • Let us take our hands off in our heart before the Lord; let us humble ourselves before Him and release the issues unto Him from our hearts.
  • Let us ask for grace to be patient even if it seems that the Lord is not dealing with issues with the urgency and in the time that we feel He should.
  • Let us ask for grace to sit tight, not begin to organise things by ourselves and just wait upon the Lord until He speaks.
  • Lord, deliver me from hastiness of spirit that makes me take matters into my own hands.

Maranatha In 2 Timothy

Listen (MP3) and pray along

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

2 TIMOTHY
We read the whole of 2 Timothy as we prayed "Come Lord Jesus!" The verses below formed our prayer points. You can listen to the MP3 message above to follow the MARANATHA prayer.

2 Timothy 1
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 3
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

2 Timothy 4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

MARANATHA!
(John 13. tune: “There Is A Fountain”)

1. In the upper room Jesus sat
With His disciples twelve
To eat the last supper with them
And take His journey home (3ice).
To eat the last supper with them
And take His journey home.

2. With heavy heart took He the bread
He broke and gave them all,
This is my body broken up
To break the power of sin (3ice).
This is my body broken up
To break the power of sin.

3. Then took the cup and gave God thanks
Drink ye all from this cup
This is my blood shed on the cross
To wash your sins away (3ice).
This is my blood shed on the cross
To wash your sins away.

4. Do this as often as you would,
My death to remember
And I will come to take you home,
Where I am you shall be (3ice).
And I will come to take you home,
Where I am you shall be.

5. Lord we will be Thy chosen ones
To love Thee all our lives
And do Thy will till kingdom come
We’ll sing MA-RA-NA-THA! (3ice).
And do Thy will till kingdom come
We’ll sing MA-RA-NA-THA!
