GOD is on a MISSION- WHAT about YOU?

God is on a mission:

• Jesus came in the flesh to redeem us and to show us the only life acceptable to God. He died on the cross and was buried, to do away with and bury the race of Adam out of sight. 1 Tim 3:16; 2 John 7; Rom 8:29; 1 Cor 15: 3, 45.
• He finished all that He came to accomplish on the earth. John 17:4.
• Jesus, following the command of His Father, now sits at the right hand of God. Ps 110:1
• God has sworn to accomplish HIS promise to Jesus- subdue all HIS enemies. Ps 110: 1-4
• God intends to subdue HIS enemies by partnering with mere men - i.e. you - as rods of His strength. Ps 110:1-2.

Are you on board?

• Jesus knew why HE came to the earth- do you?
• Jesus gave HIS life to redeem you - To what cause have you given your life?
• Jesus returned to God after accomplishing all the desires of the Father. God, out of His infinite mercies would stoop so low to partner with men- Will your life make God regret HIS decision?
• God is at work and will not relent until HE brings to JESUS’ footstool all of HIS enemies- What is the work that is occupying your life and heart?  

Genesis 19:1-16

Prayer Points

• Help me see my role and step into my own labour, in bringing men to the knowledge of the TRUTH.
• Put me in Your shoes Lord, however brief it may be, so that I see as You see; and henceforth respond and react to the matter of souls as You would.
• Set me in motion. Lay a perpetual burden on my heart for souls. Make me a fisher of men.
• Enlarge my heart, Lord. My life must bring relief to Your heart. Grant me unrelenting grace to go forth to depopulate hell, retrieving back to Christ those destined for Satan’s camp.
• Affect my heart as You open my understanding to the daily lament of Your heart, when You lose children to eternal damnation.
• I must cease to being indifferent that men are sunken in darkness instead of being immersed inside Jesus Christ.

God’s instrument to Herald His Coming

2 Kings 6: 8-23

Scenario:

The King of Syria was at war with Israel; he mobilised and conferred with his forces to set ambush against Israel.

Rod of His Strength

Elisha was used by God and instrumental in exposing; crippling and halting severally the strategy of the Syrians to prevail against Israel.

Consequence

Frustrated after several failed attempts; the King of Syria deployed his troops to seize Elisha in Dothan.

Elisha’s servant; crippled with fear, saw horses, chariots and a great army surround the city.

Revelation- When the Lord opened his eyes, he saw the mountains full of horses and chariots of fire.

Divine Wisdom- Elisha led the army inside Samaria; advised the King of Israel to host his rivals to a great feast and order the army to return back to their master. Vs. 23b - the band raiders came no more into the land of Israel.

2 Kings 6:24-33

Scenario:

The king of Syria successfully besieged Samaria.

This brought on a terrible famine.

Food prices soared astronomically

The unimaginable became common place- cannibalism; price-gouging; up rise in crime/theft as a result of scarcity

The King walked about the city helpless; hopeless; mourning and deflated

Rod of His Strength

Elisha and the elders sat in his house.

The Lord wrought deliverance via the hands of 4 lepers

What happened to the elders who were first- hand recipients of God’s counsel to restore Israel?

Consequence

The King out of frustration demanded Elisha’s head and sent the executioner to his house.

Famine and evil practices persisted and prevailed because they were silent.

God’s word only came forth after the King of Israel vowed to kill Elisha and summoned him.

Could the situation with the women eating have been averted if God’s word came promptly from Elisha?

2 Kings 6: 24-33

Characteristics of a Soldier in God’s army

• Give up your life/will to pursue God’s agenda
• The preparation of life is different compared to a civilian
• Forsake all- self, pleasure, family, comfort and endure hardship
• Your priorities are different- the security of the King and its people is your primary concern
• You receive marching orders only from the Chief Commander; even when you are not on active duty you can be re-called at any time.
• Dying whilst on duty is a honour and privilege 
•  Will you allow God mobilise you as part of His end time army to subdue the works of darkness and herald His coming?
• Will you as a soldier of the Lord tarry until victory is won?

  2 Tim 2:4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

Prayer Points

• Lord, today you have my permission- I present my life, my will, my heart and all that makes me. Mobilise me, gather me, prevail over me for Your cause?
• I present my heart- help me embrace all that comes with being a soldier of the Lord.
• I will ARISE, I will quit sitting down so that unrighteousness does not become the order of the day.
• Help me contribute my quota in the labour of fishing for souls so that You can come quickly.
• Grant me grace to persist inside Christ until Victory is won for the LORD.

My Role In Ensuring the Prompt Coming of the Lord

Gen 1:1

• God must be the beginning of every man.
• Our journey of life must of necessity follow Christ if it will not be futile.
• Our end must be heaven bound.

 Gen 1:2

• The heart of every natural man will ultimately become void, formless and overwhelmed inside darkness, if the Light (Jesus) does not intervene.
• The Holy Spirit is the chief administrator and executor of personal and national revival; hence our need, reliance and total dependence on Him.

 Gen 1:3

• God’s only and perfect solution to the personality and works of darkness was and still is: Light (Jesus).

Gen 1:4-5

• The first thing God saw and said was good is Light (Jesus). There is nothing “good” about a life until God sees JESUS inside it.
• God personally divided the light from the darkness. God has no pleasure men who have embraced the light (JESUS) but will not take responsibility to separate themselves from darkness. 
• God did not proceed with and will not endorse any other works until Light (Jesus) is first introduced. Any labour that ignores or by-passes the Light (Jesus) is simply a useless and futile work.

 What is my part in ensuring the prompt coming of our Lord?

Gen 1:28 - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God’s instructions to me:

• I am blessed by the LORD - no one can reverse it.
• Jesus in me- wants to be fruitful, to multiply, and to replenish the earth {not just my household or local assembly}, and subdue; and have dominion {taking His rightful God ordained place}.

 Raise a Heart Cry:

• Set our hearts ablaze and release us to “Go Ye” into the world to help men see their ultimate end, outside Christ.
• Baptise us with the Holy Spirit, (our Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby, Teacher - John 14:16). May we burn and shine for Your cause.
• God’s only and perfect solution to the issue of darkness was and is still - JESUS. Re-instate this to our hearts. Let it form the basis of our arising. Send us forth with the understanding that JESUS in us is God’s solution to every darkness.
• Call to order all the children of the Light and Day. We must cease going into battle with diverse miniature and inferior weaponry when God has declared JESUS to be the ultimate answer. Re-commission all men with a pledge to re-instate the cross centred message.
• Holy Spirit, enable us fulfil God’s charge- Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion. The Seed of Christ in us is what will multiply, subdue and replenish the earth, not the seed of self.
• Help us quit embarking on useless works where the Light (JESUS) is not the substance.
• Set us in motion. Make our only labour that of manifesting; highlighting, illuminating, carrying and projecting JESUS for all men to see, touch, handle and embrace. Every other work is sinking sand.
