THE WORD OF GOD: God's Instrument for Making Me Ready for Jesus' Coming

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

James 1:21-25
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

2 Peter 2: 20-21
But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of or comes from one’s own [personal or special] interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2 Timothy 3-16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage];  so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Hebrews 4:12-13
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Knowing This
  • All scripture is from God and not for private interpretation.
  • The only instrument God has to make us ready for the appearing of His Son is His Word.
  • His Words are not mere words. They are Spirit and they are Life.
  • His Words are His soldiers to accomplish His purpose in your life and in our world.
  • When God wants to accomplish something He sends His Word.
  • The only instrument God has to make me, to mould me, to prepare me, to bring about the revival in my individual life is His Word.
  • Prayer that will yield the desired outcome must be based on the Word of God.
  • The new man only feeds on the Word of God.

Prayer Points: Lord, Send Your Word to Me
  • Lord, give me an insatiable hunger and thirst for Your Word.
  • Lord, send Your Word to my life, a personal word that will prepare me for Your coming.
  • Let the heavens above my head be opened to Your Word.
  • Let the Life and Spirit inside Your Word become life to me.
  • Lord, please send Your Word regarding my personal circumstance or any situation that I am in right now.
  • Lord, send Your Word of healing, of salvation, of deliverance to us in Jesus name.
  • Let our prayers be bases upon Your Word. Even today, send Your Word to us.

What Is Superfluity of Naughtiness?

James 1:21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
  • Fluid has no rigid shape. I just assumes the shape of the container. It is light, mobile, irregular aimless, unpredictable, compromising and reacts sharply to external pressure.
  • Pride, 'I know it all', 'What do they have to say' attitude will prevent me from receiving the Word of God.
  • This is the character of the natural man's heart. For the Word of God to find room in my life, I must lay all these aside.

Prayer Points: Heart Preparation
  • Lord, what are the influences that easily mix with the life of Christ in my life? Please Lord, I am putting them away today.
  • Lord, the things that put me under unnecessary pressure, keeping me flowing along the current of the world, please, Lord, I put them away today.
  • What opinion, idea, belief, knowledge do I carry in my heart that makes me proud whenever the Word of God is coming through whichever vessel? Lord, I lay it aside. Please teach me to always lay it aside every time I approach Your Word.
  • Teach me to humble myself any time I approach Your Word.

ENGRAFTING THE WORD
  • The nature of the Word of God requires engrafting, inserting, etching, implanting, embedding with our whole being.
  • The Word that God sends is to become one with us.
  • It is expected to intermingle with our thoughts and consume all the filth of Mr Self, of the world and of the enemy.
  • It is expected to become our thought course, the arbiter of any decision we have to make.
  • The very gene that makes us in this new life is the Word of God.
  • THE WORD THAT IS NOT ENGRAFTED INTO ME LOSES ITS PURPOSE AND EFFECTIVENESS.

Prayer Points : Engrafting the Word (Matthew 13:18-23)

  • Lord, engraft Your Word into my very being.
  • Let Your Word find space to intermingle with my thoughts.
  • Lord, please dig out every rock and stones and pebbles that will not allow Your Word to fester and grow in my heart.
  • Lord, uproot every weed and thistle that will not allow Your Word to take root deep into my heart.
  • Lord, implant and insert Your Word into my life.
  • Etch Your Word upon the eyes of my soul.

PRACTICAL STEPS
  • In the quietness of your hearts, ask the Lord for practical steps to lay aside every care, every worry, every anxiety that will choke the Word out of your heart.
  • Write them down before the Lord and remember: We ‘take no thought’ about our needs rather we ‘make our request known’ to relieve any anxiety that may choke the Word of God.
  • Lord, when persecution and tribulation arises that warrants my standing upon the Word of God, Lord please let me stand.
  • Present such tribulations before Him and ask for grace to bear; grace to remain in the Word of God.
  • FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF MARCH, READ THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT.

1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according
to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth
   which accords with godliness
2  In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before
    time began
3  But has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which
was committed to me according to the commandment of God our
    Saviour;

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus
   Christ our Saviour.

As the days of Noah…

Matthew 24:37-39 King James Version (KJV)
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

How did Noah escape? Genesis chapter 6, 7 & 8

Gen 6: 8  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Gen 6: 14-21  Grace instructed Noah to built an ark.
Gen 6:22 Noah built the ark as grace taught  him to, leaving nothing out.
Gen 7:1 Grace gave further instruction to enter the ark and what to bring in.
Gen 7:5-9 Noah entered the ark as grace instructed him to do.
Gen 8:15 Noah only left the ark when grace told him to, even though the dove did not return signifying that the earth was dry.
Noah was under direct discipleship with God and he obeyed every single instruction of grace as given, not adding to it, not subtracting from it, not amplifying it, and he obeyed immediately.

Prayer Points

       Let grace locate my household.
Let my husband and heads of home (singles, those parenting alone) be a candidate of Your grace.
Handpick my family for Your favour, for Your mercy, for Your grace.
Turn Your eyes toward my family and show us favour that will secure us from the impending doom that is about to come upon the inhabitants of the earth.
Let grace instruct the head of my home (my husband), myself, if I am single or parenting alone to secure our lives when the Lord appears.
Don’t let me be like the hired hands who helped Noah built the ark and were paid wages yet they did not enter.
Don’t let me be like the scoffers who laughed at him; those who criticised him and said to him, "This is too much, you is mad, what kind of discipleship is this, that will turn a man useless and render him unprofitable for us?"

Prayer Points

When grace has instructed me, please let grace further help me to obey very quickly.
No more procrastination, no more delay, no more putting off - help my life, O Lord.
No more postponement, no more refusal to do my homework, or coursework, or thesis in this University of Grace.
Let grace teach me to respond quickly to every instruction and teaching, in Jesus name.
Help my life Lord, help my family. Don’t let us be among those who will be drowned like the days of Noah.

 Silent Prayer

Ask grace to give us specific, detailed, thorough, meticulous , instructions about areas of our personal life, our family life,  our work life, our following Him in discipleship, our finances and any area of our life He wants to prepare.

Ask for the what, when, how, the who of all these issues.

Pick up a pen and a journal (do not use a sheet of paper as you may lose it) and write them down; write the vision down that they may run that read it.

Present the list to God and ask grace for further help, courage, tenacity , support, dogged determination in the Holy Ghost to carry out all the instructions to the letter like Noah did.

This list will grow As you tick one off, another will be given until we see Him face to face. The Lord who helped Noah and his family will help us in Jesus name. Grace will lead us home.

PSALM 121

The end of the age is upon us |Matthew 23:3-44

59.5 million people have been displaced in the world as at June 2015.
Christians are among the majority and persecution is at an all-time high.
The time has come for the world and its systems to make us the scape goat.
The time has come when we will be targeted directly or indirectly for our faith.
Even now, we cannot live as Christians or preach the gospel freely or declare the word of God as it is without being tagged as intolerant and offensive or being killed and bombed depending on which part of the world you are.
Even now, many in areas of the world previously shut to the gospel are being reached and are becoming saved.

Why do I need divine help? | Matthew 23

Jesus said:
Vs 22 ‘And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened’.

Vs 24 ‘For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect’.

Vs 9 & 10 ‘Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another’.

Vs 13 ‘But he who endures to the end shall be saved’.

Prayer Points |Help me Lord, I must not be deceived

If you are able to, please go on Your knees; let us literarily look up to the Lord this day. Let us turn our gaze upon Him and ask for help for this Maranatha journey.
Lord, at every point on this my Maranatha journey  and please send me help (appropriate, timely, suitable, fitting, proper help).
Lord, even today, I ask for the help I need for the current issues of my life, my family and my church.
Lord, help me, do not let me and my household be deceived. I ask for future help to carry me on this journey as I wait for you appearance.

Prayer Points| Holy Spirit my helper

Lord, help me to recognise , accept and make use of Your help. (Jacob in Gen 28:16)

John 14:15 & 17And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever- the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.’

Do not let me become overly familiar and trivialise Your help via the Holy Ghost.
Do not let me ignore, overlook or disregard the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Do not let me belittle the Holy Spirit and His role on this journey.

Prayer points| Help me Holy Spirit, I must not be offended with Jesus

Mat 11: 1-6 John the Baptist

Dear Holy Spirit, help me not to be offended when it seems as if Your help is not coming forth. Help me to rest secure in You irrespective of supposed unanswered prayers.
Dear Holy Spirit, help me not to be a sign board for others and yet not follow through with you.
Dear Holy Spirit, please help me so that I will not need to keep repeating a class over and over again in my walk with you.

Prayer points| Holy Spirit, help me to endure till the end

Mat 25:1-13 The 10 virgins

Dear Holy Spirit help to endure until the end, teach me to come to the throne of grace to receive this help from you on a moment by moment basis
Since you don’t slumber briefly or sleep soundly, and I may sleep or slumber like the 10 virgins, please dear Holy Spirit, send me a reservoir of Your help, Your oil and Your wine in Jesus name.
Fill  my cup with the oil of divine help and an extra measure of grace - enough quota of oil for this journey.
Don’t let my oil finish; don’t let my oil run dry. Let me come daily to fill up with you.

Lord, I pray in advance for help, for grace, for oil , for wine overflowing, should the bridegroom tarry.

Unbelief!

Hebrews 4:1-13
"Now, God has offered us the promise that we may receive that rest he spoke about. Let us take care, then, that none of you will be found to have failed to receive that promised rest." Heb4vs1GNT
  • Help me to enter into my rest, oh Lord. Humble my heart even as I trust you to enter into my rest that I may cease from all works!
"Abram put his trust in the Lord, and because of this, the Lord was pleased with him and accepted him." Gen15vs6GNT
  •  Help me to trust in you like Abraham!
"Help my unbelief!" Mark9vs24
  •  In any way I have acted foolishly, Father have mercy. Let Your mercy locate me today; You said it remaineth that some must enter therein. Heb4vs6KJV
  • Help me, oh Lord, to enter in to my rest in the name of Jesus!
"And they to whom it was first peached entered not in because of unbelief." Heb4vs6 B part
  • Help my unbelief in the name of Jesus!
"But if they have doubts about what they eat, God condemns them when they eat it, because their action is not based on faith. And anything that is not based on faith is sin." Rom14vs23GNT
  • Father, envelope me with the spirit of faith; let the faith of our heroes of past descend on me in the name of Jesus!
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Heb11vs6KJV
  • Help my heart, oh Lord, help me to solely trust in You.
Let us, then, do our best to receive that rest, so that no one of us will fail as they did because of their lack of faith.  Heb4vs11GNT
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Heb4vs11KJV

Maranatha In Proverbs

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

PROVERBS

Trust in the Lord | Confession
  • We are going to confess our sins of trusting in ourselves and handling matters in our own way.
  • For every time I have been wise in my own eyes.
  • For every situation that I have trusted in my own arm, my own wisdom, my own understanding.
  • For every time when I have relied on Mr Flesh, that I have depended on the old man's way of handling issues, that I have not turned to the new man.
  • Lord, please forgive me and have mercy upon me.
  • Confess real examples that the Lord brings into your mind.

Trust in the Lord | Hand Over
  • We will hand over every situation to Him now, as we pray.
  • Every pressing issue, those areas He has raised as we confessed, let us deliberately hand them over to Him now.
  • Let us take our hands off in our heart before the Lord; let us humble ourselves before Him and release the issues unto Him from our hearts.
  • Let us ask for grace to be patient even if it seems that the Lord is not dealing with issues with the urgency and in the time that we feel He should.
  • Let us ask for grace to sit tight, not begin to organise things by ourselves and just wait upon the Lord until He speaks.
  • Lord, deliver me from hastiness of spirit that makes me take matters into my own hands.

Maranatha In 2 Timothy

Listen (MP3) and pray along

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

2 TIMOTHY
We read the whole of 2 Timothy as we prayed "Come Lord Jesus!" The verses below formed our prayer points. You can listen to the MP3 message above to follow the MARANATHA prayer.

2 Timothy 1
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 3
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

2 Timothy 4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

MARANATHA!
(John 13. tune: “There Is A Fountain”)

1. In the upper room Jesus sat
With His disciples twelve
To eat the last supper with them
And take His journey home (3ice).
To eat the last supper with them
And take His journey home.

2. With heavy heart took He the bread
He broke and gave them all,
This is my body broken up
To break the power of sin (3ice).
This is my body broken up
To break the power of sin.

3. Then took the cup and gave God thanks
Drink ye all from this cup
This is my blood shed on the cross
To wash your sins away (3ice).
This is my blood shed on the cross
To wash your sins away.

4. Do this as often as you would,
My death to remember
And I will come to take you home,
Where I am you shall be (3ice).
And I will come to take you home,
Where I am you shall be.

5. Lord we will be Thy chosen ones
To love Thee all our lives
And do Thy will till kingdom come
We’ll sing MA-RA-NA-THA! (3ice).
And do Thy will till kingdom come
We’ll sing MA-RA-NA-THA!

Job 1:7
7And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?" Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” (KJV)

The Lord asked him, “What have you been doing?” Satan answered, “I have been walking here and there, roaming around the earth.” (GNV)

The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” And Satan answered the Lord, “From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.” (NET)

Eternal One (to the Accuser): 7Where have you been?
The Accuser: Oh, roaming here and there, running about the earth and observing its inhabitants. (The Voice)

1 John 4:1-4
1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Matthew 11:28-30
Don't be a disciple of the restless man in this end time. Come to Jesus!

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Hebrews 4:1-12
Labour to enter into His rest.

Lord, remove the restless man and all his relics from my life.
Make my life a no go area for the devil as he goes to and fro the earth.
Lord, count me among Your overcomers. Make me Your disciple. Give me Your rest.
Give me courage to labour, burying all dead works out of sight so I can enter into Your rest and Your finished work.
Lord, at Your return, find me inside Your rest here and take me to Your REST there.

Have You Seen My Servant?
(Job 1. tune: “Must I Go And Empty Handed?”)
1. There was once a man so upright
Feared his God and shunned evil.
Sacrificed for sons and daughters,
Prosperous man from Uz called Job.

Have you seen My righteous servant?
Have you sensed his upright heart?
He will not forsake or curse Me
Nor rebel against My will.

2. God’s angels themselves presented,
God’s enemy came there too.
“Whence comest thou?” Asked the great God
“To and fro on earth” said he.

3. Of Job God’s account was glorious,
Tested, tried, afflicted sore
Yet Job stood his ground, God’s sample;
Would not bow to restless man.

4. God still searches for His samples,
Sons and daughters of His heart,
Will you cling to Jesus only;
Be a trophy on His shelf?

5. This has been my only heartcry,
Lord make me Thy sample please,
Evacuated, filled with Jesus;
To my world Thy specimen!

We Are In A Battle Which Has Been Won

DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND | CHRIST IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD

John 1:12
12But as many as received Him, to them gave He power, the right, the authority, the privilege to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

What is this right, this authority, this privilege?
Right:
Freedom to act like Godfreedom to respond like God in any given situation; capacity to do away with every dead work. We are no longer bound.

Authority:
Power to carry out the act; the strength, the force of heaven is behind us.

Privilege:
Special advantage or immunity available to a particular group of people.

1 Thessalonians 5:8, 17
8But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
17 pray without ceasing,
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of   righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

PRAYER
Lord, let grace help me and teach me to:
  • Successfully resist and stand my ground in these evil days.
  • Stand firm in my place in Christ, fully prepared, immovable, victorious, not shifting my stance in the finished work of Calvary.
  • Gird myself with the belt of truth, the complete gospel, not the errors that are going about in my generation.
  • Put on the breast plate of righteousness, faith and love to protect my heart from a guilty conscience. To stand with an upright heart trusting in the finished works of Calvary alone not my own works.
  • Be ready to go and preach the gospel to everyone I meet. Grant me boldness to preach and compassion for the lost
  • Take the shield of faith, to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
  • To put on the helmet of salvation, by allowing all the aspects of the full gospel to be at work in my life by faith.
  • To take the sword of the spirit, spending time eating the Word of God personally.
  • To pray without ceasing. Holy Spirit, establish your desire, a longing and the ability to pray inside of me.

Chosen By Grace To Obtain Salvation And Make Ready For His Coming

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,  against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

‘Tis grace that teaches me
Thy paths for me to know
And grace day by day leads me on
My call not to let go

Grace thy grace alone
Is all I plead for
Grace to serve Thee aright Lord
Oh Grace, to love Thee more
