Revelation 1:10-20   " I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, ¹¹ Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. ¹² And I turned to see the voice that spake with me..." (v10-12)

Jesus The Son of Man:

Ø Garment down to the foot

Ø Girded with a golden girdle

Ø Head and hair white as wool and as snow

Ø Eyes like a flame of fire

Ø Feet like fine brass burning in a furnace

Ø Voice like many waters

Ø Seven stars in His right hand

Ø A sharp two edged sword out of His mouth

Ø Countenance like the sun shinning in full strength.

Revelation 1:17   " And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:"

ü This is the JESUS that John saw. Let me see this awesome JESUS so I can fall at His feet as dead, so I can fear Him and stand in awe of Him like the disciples of old.

ü This is the JESUS that touched John and said "Fear not..." and introduced Himself afresh. Touch me awesome JESUS so that I fear not. Let me see the glorious side of You in this daybreak.

ü This is the JESUS that sent a message to the seven Churches in Asia. Send Your Word to Your Church in my own time. Make me Your John.

ü This is the JESUS that is coming back. May I not be ashamed or wanting at Your coming.

Revelation 1:17   " Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."

ü Prepare Your people wherever they may be found in all walks of life. Set us apart that we be not carried away by the tide of the time. Make us live and live and live by faith in Your Gospel/Word.

Revelation 1:1-8   " The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;..." (v1)

The Revelation Of JESUS:

Ø From GOD

Ø To JESUS

Ø To the angel

Ø To John

ü Lord, like John the beloved disciple and apostle, please count me among this company where You are head, the greatest company to be. Show me Your revelation too.

Revelation 1:2-3   " Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. ³ Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

ü  Make me a bearer of the record of Your Word and of Your life. Make me a witness of Jesus- In life, in labour, in signs and wonders to prepare for His coming.

ü  Help me to see the urgency of Your coming so I can commit my life to bearing Your Word, Your Gospel to my home, my environment and to the whole world as You help me.

Revelation 1:4-6     "John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; ⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ⁶ And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen "

ü Lord remember Your Church in my house, in my country, in my continent, in the whole world. Please send us Your reminder as You did to the Churches in Asia here.

ü Pronounce Your grace on Your Church and bless Your people. Be our comfort in these troubled times. Let us know Your love and proximity always Lord.

ü  Thank You for making us kings and priests to our Father. Please help us live up to our calling. Take away the mindset of defeat and slavery from us. Make us walk worthy of our calling every day.

Revelation 1:7  " Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen"

ü  May we not be ashamed at Your second coming. Rather may we be among the tens of thousands of saints that will come back to reign with You.

Revelation 1:8  " I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

ü  Lord introduce Yourself to me again and again as Alpha (the beginning), Omega (the end). Help me know that before You there is nothing, after You there is nothing. You are all in all!

ü  Help me to be content just to connect with You for the rest of my life.

ü  Like John, make me diligent in sharing the revelation of Yourself that I am getting from Your Word.

ü  MARANATHA! Come LORD JESUS!

                       In the clouds He cometh quickly,
                   Every eye shall see Him come.
                   They that pierced Him too shall see Him,
                   All shall wail because of Him.
                   "I am Alpha, and Omega;
                   The beginning and the end."
                   Make us worthy, God Almighty;
                   Of our call in Christ our Lord!

Pergamos: Balaam's Doctrine

Revelation 2:12-17   " And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;  ¹³ I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.  ¹⁴ But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.  ¹⁵ So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.  ¹⁶ Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
¹⁷ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."

Jesus introduces Himself through His Word:

Hebrews 4:12   " For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

What God's Word is                         What God's Word does

Ø  Quick                                      Pierces quickly

Ø  Powerful                                Divides powerfully

Ø  Sharp                                      Discerns sharply

ü Lord please introduce Yourself to me again and again through Your Word, then I cannot derail.

ü May I see the sharpness and potency of Your Word- To make and destroy, To give life and to kill.

ü Open my heart to Your Word like Lydia. Baptise me into the mystery of Your Word, Your Sword

ü Lord I choose life because I receive Your Word. Breathe the breath of life into me I pray.

2Timothy 2:3-4   " Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ⁴ No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

ü  V13. Like Antipas, help me to endure hardness, suffering  and persecution as a good soldier of Christ

ü  Disentangle my life from the affairs of this world that would slow me down as a soldier.

ü  Give me the grace of a witness, the grace of a martyr so I can fight manfully and fearlessly on.

ü  V14-17. Renew a repentant heart in me. Cause me to repent of anything that You may have against me. Do not fight against me with Your Word but release me into destiny with Your Word.

ü  Let Your mercy prevail over any looming judgement on my life. Have mercy on me Lord.

ü  Make me an overcomer to the end please Lord.

Numbers 25:1-9.  "And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.  ² And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.  ³ And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel....  ⁹ And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. " (v 1-3, 9)

V 14-15. The doctrine of Balaam=the doctrine of self. No cross

Ø Anointed prophet, eloquent teacher

Ø Access to many lives, including kings and rulers

Ø Wasted opportunities through acquisition of wealth

Ø Pursuit of materialism, self gratification, and fame...

AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SOULS OF GOD'S PEOPLE! (Balaam!!!)

Balaam pushed liberal theology and error to destroy the souls of men and to bring God's wrath upon HIS people. 24000 sank into hell among God's people while Balaam walked away with fame and goods. Balaam's doctrine caused God to fight against His own people with the sword of His mouth. CHURCH of GOD, WAKE UP while we have the time!!

ü Lord please help me to turn my back completely on the doctrine of Balaam (wherever it may be coming from), which causes mass eternal destruction to the souls of God's people.

ü If I know anyone that is caught in Balaam's doctrine either as a preacher or listener, give me the courage to sound the alarm by preaching the Gospel of JESUS to them lovingly but fearlessly.

ü MARANATHA! Come Lord Jesus and deliver Your people from erroneous teachings that line the pockets of few Balaams at the expense of many souls in the Church.

                   The revelation of Your heart

                   O Lord cause us Your Church to see.

                   That we abstain from idols all

                   And love only the things You love

                   To overcome errors and lies.

                   As Christ our Lord overcame too.

                   Pray give us ear that we may hear,

                   What Thy Spirit says unto us!

Matthew 24:1-14   " And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (verse 14)

The preaching of the Gospel to all nations as a witness is what finally triggers the coming of Jesus.

ü Thank You JESUS for making me part of Your end time plans. The preaching of the Gospel!

ü Thank You for baptising me into this all important Gospel that triggers the coming of the Lord.

ü The Gospel (i.e. need for our redemption) brought You the first time. The Gospel (i.e. preached to all nations) will bring You the second time. Help me see the need to LIVE and PREACH the Gospel

The Mystery of The GOSPEL

ü Lord please sharpen the Gospel both in my living and in my sowing it.

ü Holy Spirit come like the mighty rushing wind to push the Gospel into men's hearts as we sow it.

ü Holy Spirit come like the fire to burn in men's hearts as they hear the Gospel wherever it is preached, either actually in person or virtually online. Convict men's hearts unto conversion please.

ü 2 Timothy 4:2.  My sowing the Gospel everywhere by life and by preaching it is my cry of "Come Lord JESUS!" Make me a sower of the Gospel, instant, sharp, in season and out of season.

ü Open up all nations everywhere to hear the Gospel preached as a witness unto them. Let our online labour disseminate the Gospel to ALL nations of the earth in ALL continents.

ü Thank You for counting us as part of Your end time sowers and harvesters. Thank You Lord.

ü MARANATHA! Come, LORD JESUS. Amen.
