2 Corinthians 5:1-11
Vs. 1: For we know that
if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have
a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens.
Hosea 4:6a My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Romans 6:6 We know that
our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross
with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we
would no longer be slaves to sin.
Luke 1:3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very
first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus.
Is that which you know now, able
to save you from destruction? Is it as Mary states- “that ONE needful thing”?
What is the foundation of your faith built on?
What are you striving to have perfect understanding
of? Will it secure your soul from eternal damnation?
- Lord, grant me a heart revelation of the Holy; a heart revelation of Christ and Him crucified.
- Open my heart and bring me into full understanding of the Mystery of the Gospel.
- Uproot and rid me of every faulty foundation/gospel that will ultimately produce faulty fruits.
- Knowledge that does not lead me to discover, abide and bear fruits of Christ is vain and useless. Open to me Lord, that which helps me find and abide inside Christ.
- Let my immersion into the mysterious and complete Gospel be evident in my walking with and working for God. Oh! let it manifest in my focus, passion, investment of life/time/labour etc.
Vs. 2-3 For in this, we groan, earnestly
desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if
indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
For in this- understanding and revelation
of Christ and Him crucified
For in this- understanding of Christ in
me, the hope of glory
For in this- understanding that JESUS is
coming back for His Church (To wrap up our redemption, by changing our body to
separate us from the "Adams")-Cor.15:52; 1Thes 4:16-18
We groan, earnestly desiring....
What is the content and context of your
groaning?
What is your earnest desire?
Paul groaned and earnestly desired not
to be rich/famous/acknowledged... But clothed with our habitation which is from
heaven
- Jesus be my vision.
- Reset and restore faulty, fragmented foundations as the Mystery of the Gospel is restated to me.
- My life output is directly proportional to the gospel that I receive. Let my standing and fruits from henceforth stem from the Full and Complete Gospel.
- Jesus is my foundation; cause my groaning and earnest desires be CHRIST not things.
- Grant me understanding that it is only in Christ that I will not be found naked
Vs. 4-5 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not
because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may
be swallowed up by life.
5 Now He who has prepared us
for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a
guarantee.
Short sightedness and lack of understanding makes us
groan and be burdened by life challenge.
- My desire and groan is to be further clothed that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
- What prepares and assures us that we will see Jesus when He returns is God. Please let this understanding be an anchor for my soul.
