COME DRINK NEW WINE! MARANATHA
"MARANATHA"
has a sharp 2 faced weapon: PRAYER
and SPREADING THE WORD. Like Anna,
our prayer must birth the spreading of the word (Gospel)
Anna
was going through a personal revival. BUT, an
individual that remains an island cannot spark a revival fire that will cover
the land:
-
Anna, individually revived but connected to blaze the fire
-
Each of the apostles/disciples, individually revived but connected to blaze the
fire
- JESUS our Lord, revival personified but
connected to blaze the fire- Heb 2:11
REVIVAL
= several individually ignited people connecting together for a corporate fire
that can spread through and engulf the land, bringing God back to town.
ü Remove the island mentality from me.
I am a member of a family, God's family.
ü Help me as I take responsibility to
connect with my brethren rather than be aloof and complain
of them not connecting with me. Help me reach out always.
ü Help me know that I am an important
member of the body so I do not relinquish my own
responsibility, my own portion, my own destiny in our MARANATHA cry.
ü Like Anna, Let the revival fire inside me dismantle
and consume every firewall of the enemy that tries to isolate me from other
members of the new race.
When we refuse the enemy's offer to
isolate us and we come together with our individual fires, like the disciples
in the upper room, Paul and Silas in prison, etc. Powerful!
Acts
12: 1-7. The same night
when Herod would have had Peter executed, heaven came down by the Church's
corporate prayer. Not only was Peter
miraculously released by God's angel, Herod too was mysteriously disciplined by
God's angel- v23
When
the Church prays, God arises. When God arises, things happen.
ü The fire of revival that set Peter free was the same
that struck Herod down. It depends on where that fire meets one.
Let the fire of revival meet me standing on the full Gospel. Unlike
Herod or Ananias and Saphira, let the fire
meet me praying and serving. Let me be in the right place at the right
time, with the right connection.
In
crying "MARANATHA" the Church should be praying and spreading the
full Gospel. Even without
wishing Herod evil, the Church just prayed for Peter's release, but in heaven, Peter's
release was tied to Herod's destruction. So, heaven answered the Church's
prayer their own way. Ours is to pray
"Come Lord JESUS", heaven's is to answer their own way.
ü Make me a
praying individual.
ü Make us a
praying Church.
ü Give us boldness
to preach the full complete Gospel.
ü Follow Your Word
with signs and wonders and cause many to be saved.
ü Count me and my
house in.
