John 14: 1-4
1 Let not
your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
- The heart of a bride can soon become scattered, defocused and weary. She can backslide if her bridegroom leaves indefinitely without any information.
- Lord, You went away to prepare a home/eternal abode for me. Help me remain abiding inside You on Your return.
- Lord, assist me in all ways so that I don’t lose my heavenly estate. No one must occupy that which You built deliberately and precisely for me.
- Lord, my heart must be helped. The devil will not engage me to doubt the surety of Your Word to me.
- Jesus, the passing of time must not make my heart wax cold and darkened. Whilst waiting, keep me continually built up, grounded, established, undefiled and perfected inside You.
What Did Our Bridegroom Leave Us With?
Revelation 21:9-27- The New JerusalemI ought not to be a foolish bride whose oil runs out when You come.
I must not act like I have no hope.
You left me ample information of why You are going; what You are going to be doing when gone and where You are going.
You left me with signs of Your return.
Prayer Points
Give me a glimpse of this New Jerusalem; make this revelation grow and mature inside me.
Help me know daily that You are my shield
and exceeding great reward.
Grant me grace to hold on for You, despite
great persecutions and temptations. Shield me from every deception aimed at
snuffing out the Life-Light in me.
John 21:1-3, 15-17
- Lord, I must not be a Peter in heart or in deed - i.e. going back to my old life.
- Lord, Your sitting on my life was not for the purpose of leading others outside Christ. Help my life so that my actions does not make others lose their heavenly estate.
- Open my eyes to see and know that any labour outside Jesus will be in vain and yield nothing.
- Your expectation having poured out Your life for me is that I feed Your Sheep with that which secures their souls back to You.
- Make me a bearer of the full and complete Gospel. It is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe.
- Graciously re-visit and re-direct every Peter who have gone back fishing. Commission them to feed Your sheep with the Mysterious Gospel of Jesus.
- Many feed Your sheep but maybe not with the crux of the Gospel message. Please Lord, visit them and reveal the core of God’s heart to them. Change their lives and message.
