Preparation For His Second Coming

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;  but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:26-30 NKJV).

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour (Matthew 25:13).

Luke 24:47-53
ü  Jesus told them what to preach -repentance and remittance of sins.
ü  In whose name to preach - His name only.
ü  Who to preach to - all nations.
ü  Where to begin - Jerusalem.
ü  Promised them the Holy Spirit then - today we have the Holy Spirit.
ü  Jesus instructed them to tarry - today we are also instructed to tarry for His second coming.
ü  He told them where to tarry - Jerusalem. For us today, we should live daily in anticipation of His coming.
ü   Bprepared, watch and pray.
ü  Duration of tarrying not known by the disciples, neither do we. The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
ü  What are they tarrying for? The Holy Spirit.
ü  What are we tarrying for: The second coming of the Lord.
ü  For them it came to pass in Acts 2.
ü   For us too, it will come to pass.
Will you be ready, dear brethren?
