Sanctified By The Hope Of His Second Coming

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-2.30pm (UK time)

1st John 3: 1 – 3
Our adoption as the children of God is made perfect by God's condescending love for us. This love presents us with a HOPE for the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We therefore, have an obligation to purity from our Hope of Heaven. 1st Corinthians 15:19
  • God conferred the power and the dignity of His son on us, so by nature and by practice we are MADE and CALLED the children of God (sons of God). We have the right to God's inheritance through Jesus – who is our only access to Heaven.
  • The glory of God that pertains to our adoption and sonship is not yet revealed. We need to keep walking by faith and living by hope  until our ELDER BROTHER – Jesus appears to take us to where He is. John 14:3
  • Our likeness of Christ will impact on our sight of Him when He appears. Being like Him makes us see Him exactly as He is, but the wicked shall see Him as a terror and an avenger.
  • The commandment of God and our new nature demand regeneration.  There is a level of transformation that Heaven demands from us, and we are constrained by our hope of heaven to do away with all forms of impurities.
  • The only assurance against impure desires is to align our lives with the provision of heaven in line with our divine sanctification. As we await the glorious appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ, we should always remember that we are saved by grace, justified by faith and purified by hope.
     PRAYER:
  • Lord, as I await Your Second Coming, please magnify Your love in my adoption as Your child. Enlarge Your love to me in the way and manner I can easily identify with. Let me see Your glory in Your love for me.
  • Lord, let me know that to be “born of God” is to be “born of love”. Help me grow afresh in the love of heaven, so I can be made worthy of Your glorious appearance.
  • Lord, please, help me to be well-positioned for the glory of my divine adoption. Grant me the grace to wait in faith, live by hope and walk by faith as I expect the revelation of this glory.
  • Lord, fill me with the light and life that will set me apart from the world. Make me more like You so I may see You exactly as You are when You appear. Grant me the insight that will impact on my sight when I see You face to face.
  • Lord, in all my endeavours, please bring out the level of purity that measures up with my divine nature. Let my ways be perfected in the holiness that heaven demands and commands.
  • Lord, let my hope of heaven constrain me in all my ways. Grant my life a transformative hope – the hope that refuses to indulge in all forms of impurity. Lord, please, baptise me with the hope of Your Second Coming. WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM!!!

We Shall Behold Him
The sky shall unfold, preparing His entrance
The stars shall applaud Him, with thunders of praise
The sweet light in His eyes shall, enhance those awaiting
And we shall behold Him, face to face
Chorus
We shall behold Him
Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
We shall behold Him
Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Saviour and Lord

The angels shall sound, the shout of His coming
The sleeping shall rise from, their slumbering place
And those who remain shall, be changed in a moment
And we shall behold Him, then face to face
Chorus
We shall behold Him
Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
We shall behold Him
Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Saviour and Lord

Search The Scriptures And See What Jesus Is Offering You

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. Revelation 21:1-7
  • How many of us have taken jobs without researching the pay-scale; the location; the job description and its impact on career progression and family?
  • Who has put their children into a school not bothering to check the school rating and report; the environment; or the calibre of its teachers?
  • Will any of us go blindly into a relationship without finding out about the other person; without prayers; without counsel etc?
  • No sound teacher instructs without highlighting the risks/benefits or advantages/disadvantages of a product.

Jesus likewise makes it clear what He has to offer all those who come and thrust their lives to Him. Jesus is offering Himself to us; He promises to be our Father, our God, our inheritance and our reward {2 Cor. 6:17-18; Gen. 15:1; Rev. 21:3).

Every company, school, human being advertise what they have to offer as this is primarily what convinces people whether to follow. Decisions are made on the basis of advertised incentives such as pay scale; environment; benefit package and location.
  • When was the last time you heard a preacher speak so passionately, so comprehensively, so elaborately and precisely on what God has to offer all men?
  • When was the last time that the matter of heaven; God’s promise to go and build for us a mansion where no moth invades; life without pain/ache/sorrow/wickedness discussed to convince men to reconsider their choice to follow Jesus.
  • Why is the issue of heaven so downplayed that men are rarely longing for His coming?
  • Why do more people have a vague insight into hell than the riches and treasures of heaven?

Prayer Point
  • Lord, please grant me insight of where You are preparing for me.
  • Show me a glimpse of what beholding You; hearing You; touching You and unlimited unfeigned access to You will be like.
  • Make clear to my heart the vastness of what You have promised those who forsake all to follow You.
  • Let this revelation make my heart conscious and in a state of preparedness of Your coming.
  • Grant me a perpetual hunger and thirst to behold and be a partaker of the new Jerusalem despite our present chaotic world.
  • Help me dig deep in Your Word to understand what You have said regarding Your second coming. Let this knowledge keep me hoping and grounded. Let this understanding prompt me to proclaim Your earnest coming.

We Shall Behold Him
The sky shall unfold, preparing His entrance
The stars shall applaud Him with thunders of praise
The sweet light in His eyes shall enhance those awaiting
And we shall behold Him, then face to face

O we shall behold Him, yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
O we shall behold Him, yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Savior and Lord

The angel will sound the shout of His coming
And the sleeping shall rise from their slumbering place
And those remaining shall be changed in a moment
And we shall behold him, then face to face

We shall behold Him, yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
We shall behold Him, yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Savior and Lord
We shall behold Him, our Savior and Lord
Savior and Lord!

Preparation For His Second Coming

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;  but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:26-30 NKJV).

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour (Matthew 25:13).

Luke 24:47-53
ü  Jesus told them what to preach -repentance and remittance of sins.
ü  In whose name to preach - His name only.
ü  Who to preach to - all nations.
ü  Where to begin - Jerusalem.
ü  Promised them the Holy Spirit then - today we have the Holy Spirit.
ü  Jesus instructed them to tarry - today we are also instructed to tarry for His second coming.
ü  He told them where to tarry - Jerusalem. For us today, we should live daily in anticipation of His coming.
ü   Bprepared, watch and pray.
ü  Duration of tarrying not known by the disciples, neither do we. The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
ü  What are they tarrying for? The Holy Spirit.
ü  What are we tarrying for: The second coming of the Lord.
ü  For them it came to pass in Acts 2.
ü   For us too, it will come to pass.
Will you be ready, dear brethren?
PRAYER
*      May the God of peace Himself sanctify us through and through.
*      Separate us from profane things.
*      Make us pure and wholly consecrated to God.

*    Thank God for His faithfulness, that He is trustworthy and He will keep us. He will do that which He has promised.
*  May God direct our hearts into realizing and showing the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return. 2 Thess 3:5 Amp

God’s Way Or His Acts Only

Psalm 103:7
He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. NKJV
He revealed His character to Moses and His deeds to the people of Israel. NLT
He revealed His plans to Moses and let the people of Israel see His mighty deeds. GNB
He taught His Law to Moses and showed all Israel what He could do. CEV

God’s method of revealing Himself:

v  Dreams and visions – Numbers 12:6, Gen 15: 1, 46: 2-4.
v  By angelic appearances – Judges 6: 11 ffl, 13: 2-3, 6
v  In the likeness of a man/men – Gen 18: 1-3: There was nothing to suggest that the three men that visited Abraham were of angelic or divine appearance, Abraham’s initial response of worship was just typically of eastern culture of hospitality of that time. (Heb 13:2)
v  Hearing His voice audibly – Num 12: 4-5
v  In various other ways (Heb 1:1), but never face to face like He did with Moses (Num 12: 7-8, Deut 34: 10-12).
  • These are examples of God’s dealings with His people, whereby God finds a man faithful and reveals to such His plans, ways, character, laws etc. Such a one then relates to the people/multitudes who now become recipients of God’s goodness, miraculous occurrences/deliverances.
  • These multitudes only see the acts brought about by the faithfulness of men who have paid the price of walking with God.
  • They are a need-oriented people always looking to the ‘big man of God’ to collect things from God.
  • As they continue to rely on the big man to approach God on their behalf, they never learn to know God for themselves; so that when the man of God is no longer in tune with heaven, their philosophy becomes ‘the end justifies the means’ as long as the ‘provision’ is still coming.
  • Little wonder then that the children of Israel wearied Moses and God with their complainings in the wilderness.
  • How I wish Moses had asked God to also reveal Himself to these people in his passionate appeal to God for himself in Exodus 33: 12-18.
  • Thank God He has spoken and reaveled Himself to us, and still does by His Son in these last days! Heb 1:1.
Ø  We see God in the face of Jesus Christ – 2Cor 4:6
Ø  He is that light that God shined in the darkness in Gen 1:1 and He has shined that same light in our hearts so that we experience His glory much more than Moses did, Hallelujah!!
Ø  Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared God to us – John 1:18
Let us pray:
  • Dear Father God, please continue to shine the light of Jesus Christ in our hearts as we desire to know you more.
  • Precious Holy Spirit, please help me to study the Bible to know GOD and not to get things – 2 Tim 3:7
  • Please LORD, give us and make us leaders who will continue to point us/others to Jesus Christ and not themselves.
  • Give us leaders like the friend of the bridegroom who seeks always to bring the bride to the groom and withdraw as the two have come to know each other intimately.
  • John the Baptist came baptising in order to reveal Jesus to the people (Jn 1:31); he kept pointing the people to Jesus. Lord, please give Your church leaders whose singular purpose in ministry is to connect the people with their Saviour, and not build themselves demagogues.
  • Give those leaders/disciplers who are on track with this vision, the grace and humility to know when their work is done so they can withdraw, learning to ‘bow out when the ovation is loudest,’ amen.
  • Lord, please deliver my soul from impatience and hastiness; help me to learn to wait on/for You to meet my needs so I do not keep going to others for help. (Psalm 37:7, Heb 10: 36) - A fretful, discontented spirit is open to many temptations.
  • Dear Lord Jesus, please give me grace to endure to the end as I await Your coming. COME LORD JESUS!!

God's Children and the Accursed Thing

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Tuesday 11.30am-2.30pm (UK time)

Joshua 7: 1, 11- 18, Revelation 2: 1- 7, Ephesians 5: 21- 25

The accursed thing - sin will not make you as an individual to be filled with all the fullness of God and the aftermath is that it will lead to your destruction like Achan and all that he had. What is the accursed thing in your life, household, family, tribe and nation? Please cry to the Lord for yourself and all that is yours.
  • Lord, thank You for loving and giving Yourself for me (church) Ephesians 5: 25.
  • Thank you for Your coming, death, suffering, leaving all to save me.
  • Let all Your suffering, death find expression and meaning in me and all that concerns me.
  • We want to be able to face our enemies, take the battle to the enemies gates. But, if the accursed thing is present in me, my household, family, tribe and nation, it makes us turn our backs before the enemies. Thus, we become prey to them. What is it that God have against me, somewhat or accursed thing in my life, household, family, tribe, nation?
  • Lord, have mercy on us. Destroy any accursed thing in us (Joshua 7:12). Destroy those sinful nature, tendencies that could make us turn back before the enemies.
  • Please, Lord, I don’t want you to come to my nation, tribe, families, households and I in judgement rather, come in mercy (Joshua 7: 14).
  • Please, Lord, don’t search us (me, my household, family, tribe and nation) for destruction rather search us for repentance and mercy (Joshua 7: 15).
  • When the Lord comes, it is to judge and burn the carrier of the accursed thing Lord, I don’t to perish. Please, let none of my household become burn or go to hell because they fail to destroy sin – the accursed thing.  Open our eyes to the accursed thing, be it hidden or open (Joshua 7: 15).
  • Lord, forgive me where I have left You as my first love even though it seems as if I am working, patient and labouring (Revelation 2: 1 - 4).
  • Help me remember where I have fallen from, where I have left You as my first love and started pursuing other things at the expense of my love for Christ Revelation 2: 5.
  • Empty me of self-life and fill me with all the riches of Your fullness – repentance, righteousness, mercy, love, compassion, faith etc. Ephesians 3: 17.
  • Let me be totally submissive, subject to Christ. It is out of my reverence first for Christ that I can submit to husbands and others. (Ephesians 5: 21, 24).
  • Lord sanctify me and cleanse me by Your word so that I can become that glorious church without spot, wrinkle, or any such thing (accursed thing, somewhat etc.) Ephesians 5: 26-27).
  • Lord, let the oneness you are longing for in the body of Christ be fulfilled in my local assembly (name of where you worship) John 17: 21 and 23. Take away disunity from my local assembly.
  • Grant me confidence to know that this good work (salvation, repentance, etc.) you have started in my life, household, family, tribe, nation, church shall be accomplished until the day of our Lord Jesus, no matter what may be the present situations around my life and family members – Philippians 1:6.
Dear Lord, please come and search me now in mercy before it is too late!

The Elder Brother Syndrome

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-2.30pm (UK time)

The elder brother syndrome| Luke 15:28-30

He was angry, presumptuous, arrogant, proud, an inflated sense of his own importance in the house.
He was full of criticism, blaming, accusing, imputing, pointing accusing fingers at his brother.
He was self-righteous, obnoxious, insufferable and intolerable.
He thought he was blameless, without any sin, faultless, irreproachable.
He thought he deserved and had earned his place and position in the Father's house.
He thought he had worked hard as a good son, hence his Father must bless him and he must be the only one that will inherit the kingdom now.
He does not realise that the he is enjoying the goodness, magnanimity, the benevolence, the compassion, the kindness, the love of the Father.
He thought he had jurisdiction over the Father's love.
He thought he was a custodian of the Father’s love.
He is also a prodigal; he stood outside the house accusing the Father.

WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE AS A BROTHER LIKE THIS?

Another look at the Father

       Abimelech
Genesis 20:1-8
       Esau & Jacob
Malachi 1-3
       Ahab
1 Kings 21:17-29
        A Woman Caught in Adultery
John 8:1-11
       The thief on the cross
Luke 23:39-43
JUST TO NAME A FEW. How about you? How about me? Are we basking, living, breathing and having our being in the love of the Father?
He who makes the rain to shine upon the just and the unjust.
He is kind, loving, tender, caring, benevolent, gentle, kind-hearted and generous.

The Father proclaims His name before you today.

Exodus 34:5-8
And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed:
The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

Prayer points| Let us fall down before our Father

Let us begin to worship Him, our Father, our Daddy, our God.
Let us fall down before Him adoration, let us worship at His feet.
Our Father, merciful, gracious, and compassionate God.
Slow to anger, rich in in steadfast love and truth.
Endlessly patient, loyal in love for a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin.
He never bears a grudge, neither does He remain angry forever.
Of His fullness we have received and enjoyed, grace for grace.
He will by no means clear the guilty, yet He made a way to do so through the death of His son.
Go ahead this morning, this afternoon, this evening or whenever and wherever you are hearing this from and begin to bless Him.

Prayer points | Lord have mercy on me | Romans 2:1-6

Are you an elder prodigal, you have you been around the Father for a long time and yet have not entered into the house through the way of the cross?

I come to the cross, I give you my heart, tear out of my flesh the heart of the elder brother, give me a new heart.
I ask for the miracle of heart transplant this day, Lord, have mercy on me.
Cry out to the Father now and tell Him, Lord forgive me, I am ready to come into the house.

Have you come to the cross and yet you can still see the evidence of the elder brother syndrome in your life?
Rid me of any trace of the elder brother syndrome; deliver me from the spirit of the elder brother.
Lord, dig out every form of critical, judgemental, self-righteous spirit that is still lurking in my life.
It is a deposit of the old man, repent from them today, now is the day for repentance.
Uproot every form of presumption about my status with the Father.
Lord, evacuate any form of insurrection and disobedience that will not accept correction quickly and quietly from our disicplers, from the Lord and others in authority over me.

Lord, bring our prodigals home| Luke 5: 15-24

Luke 15:20, 22-24
But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

The first point to note here is the greatness, tenacity, persistent, magnitude, immensity, of the Father’s love.
Can you see the largeness, of the Father’s heart?

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet, and bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Can you see the magnanimity, the benevolence, the compassion, the kindness of the Father?
Can you see that the heavenly Father desires His prodigals back home more than any of us can?
Can you see that His heart is burdened more for His prodigals than ours?
Can you see Him day in day out, hoping , praying, looking out for to see then coming in the horizon?

BE ENCOURAGED BRETHREN , BE CONFIDENT IN THIS ONE THING ;THE FATHER DESIRES TO SEE ALL YOUR PRODIGALS HOME AND HE WILL NOT REST UNTIL EVERY ONE OF THEM RETURNS.

Prayer points
Lord, thank you for the love you have for our prodigals.

Lord, let this your extravagant love reach out to our prodigals again.
Lord, please let your love be shed abroad into the hearts again by the Holy Ghost.
